Welcome to the Gettysburg Campground,
in historic Gettysburg! Located just 3 miles West of the center of town, our Gettysburg Campground is bordered by beautiful Marsh Creek, with both shady or sunny RV sites,
and a primitive tent area along the creek.
We offer 260 sites, accommodating everything from a tent to literally any size RV. Gettysburg Campground is also the only campground in Gettysburg with an on-site RV repair facility. We also have rustic cabins and full-facility cottages, if you are new to the camping experience and want to relax away from home.
To the West of our campground on Rt 116 between our campground and the town of Fairfield there is a bridge that has been closed for replacement. The detour signs are not well placed so please pay attention. Please follow the detour using RT 116 to Carrolls Tract Road to Knoxlyn-Ortanna Road back to Rt 116, turn left and our entrance is just down the road. Carrolls Tract Road is located on the east side of Fairfield by the Post Office. If you are coming from the direction of Gettysburg to our campground you will not be impacted by this detour.
Bring the whole family (pets are welcome!) and enjoy our many recreational amenities, including a well-equipped game room, mini-golf, shuffleboard, volleyball, horseshoes and children’s playground. Relax in
the pool on those hot summer days, and, in the evening, top off your campfire dinner with a movie or just unwind at your campsite enjoying our friendly, relaxed environment. You will also want to check out our activity schedule
and join in the fun, with planned activities each weekend.
Our on-site services are simply the best. They include a laundry facility, LP gas, firewood, 2 dump stations, on-site pump-out service, cable TV, free Wi-Fi
(most sites), and a country-style store with RV supplies, food, toys, Civil War collectibles, books, jewelry, clothing, and gifts. We also have a snack bar serving breakfast and lunch, as well as an ice cream parlor featuring hand-dipped Hershey’s Ice Cream. In addition, we have a large recreation hall available for
use when it is not scheduled for a campground activity.
Nearby, in downtown Gettysburg, you will find Civil War battlefields, museums and exhibits, the Eisenhower Farm, ghost walks, great gift shops and restaurants, and many other great attractions. You can also take a day trip to the Carlisle Car Shows, Hershey, Harpers Ferry, York, Harrisburg, and the Lancaster County Amish country. We offer bus tours to Gettysburg and Washington, DC, making our campground a great location to visit the region.
We look forward to having you stay with us at Gettysburg Campground. Please make your reservation requests today, e-mail us , or give us a call if you would like to learn more about our park. Our friendly staff will be more than happy to help you plan a great vacation!
