Activities Schedule
We offer planned activities every weekend, in season! We have some great bluegrass, rock-n-roll, and country bands. DJs playing various music, magicians, jugglers, and comedians. Summer weekends always include hayrides, movies, bingo, ceramics, and other family fun activities. Storytelling by the campfire, stuff for mom, stuff for dad, and of course lots of stuff for the kids.

March
March 26 - 28 CLEAN-UP WEEKEND – Camp with us this weekend and help around the campground for 4 hours on Saturday and receive a coupon good for one free night of camping. Saturday evening we will host a spaghetti dinner for everyone who helped. Bring your rakes, shovels, and gloves if you like.
April
April 2 - 4 EASTER WEEKEND – Bring your family and join us for Easter Weekend at the Gettysburg Campground. All kinds of Easter fun including an Easter egg hunt, adult beverage hunt, candy bar bingo and the Easter Bunny!
April 9 - 11 YARD SALE WEEKEND – Time to clean the closet, attic, or garage and bring it all here to turn those dusty treasures into cash. We will advertise the event to help you sell. Saturday rain or shine.

April 16 - 18 HEROES WEEKEND – Camp this weekend and if you are active duty police, fire, emergency, or military personnel you will receive 1 free night (RV sites). On Saturday, we will have a memorial service to honor all of America’s heroes. DJ on Saturday night.
April 23 - 25 KIDS’ CARNIVAL WEEKEND – This is an extra special weekend for kids at the Gettysburg Campground. Loads of fun for the kids starting Friday and all day Saturday! Don’t miss this one…

April 30 - May 2 bingo MADNESS WEEKEND / APPLE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL WEEKEND – Continental Breakfast bingo, Junk Food bingo, Candy Bar bingo, & Door Prize bingo. bingo for everyone. It’s madness!

May 7 - 9 MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND – Make a special craft or T-shirt for Mom ($). Play in our mother/child mini-golf tournament followed by a Mother’s Day bazaar. Saturday night our DJ will be here. Sunday enjoy a pancake breakfast free for moms ($ for others).
May 14 - 16 GETTYSBURG 500 RACE WEEKEND – Our 15th Annual Matchbox Car Race, the “Gettysburg Campground 500”. Bring your own car or buy a wreck (2 oz. max. weight - NO Trucks). Site decorating contest (prizes awarded). Matt Dodd returns performing his show “Songs and Stories of the American Hobo”.

May 21 - 23 SPRING S’MORE QUIET WEEKEND – Enjoy a quiet weekend camping here at the Gettysburg Campground. Saturday evening come join us for s’mores around the campfire followed by some ghost stories.

May 28 - 31 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND (3-Night Minimum) – The summer camping season is here! Our DJ and the Powder Keg Band will be back playing some great music. Throughout the weekend we have plenty of fun activities planned.

June
June 4 - 6 CIVIL WAR ENCAMPMENT WEEKEND – Come experience the history of Gettysburg at our own living history encampment. Candlelight camp tours, musket and artillery demos, and plenty of activities for everyone. Friday night we will have a Civil War era dance with live music in which everyone can participate.

June 11 - 13 BBQ WEEKEND – Saturday afternoon we are going to have a BBQ dinner with all the fixin’s! ($/reservations required). Later on in the evening come listen to ghost stories around the campfire.

June 18 - 20 FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND – Dad, this is your weekend to relax. Plenty of fun-filled events planned including our father/child mini-golf tournament. Saturday night we will have the Tall In The Saddle Band here for your enjoyment. Sunday enjoy a pancake breakfast free for Dads ($ for others).

June 25 - 27 MARIE LEVIN’S REBA TRIBUTE WEEKEND – Marie Levin is back presenting her tribute show to “Reba.” The house will be packed so make your reservations early. You will be amazed at the sound-a-like and look-a-like qualities she possesses.

July 2 - 5 JULY 4th HOLIDAY CELEBRATION (3-Night Minimum) – The 147th reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg takes place this weekend. We will be having our own living history encampment. Friday our DJ will be spinning tunes and on Saturday and Sunday the living history camp will be open. We will finish each day with night fire artillery demonstrations!

July 9 - 11 GETTYSBURG BIKE WEEK & SOCK HOP WEEKEND – Lots to do at the Gettysburg Bike Week sites and here at the campground. Saturday night bring the whole family and enjoy Don & Roxy at our Sock Hop dance.

July 16 - 18 LINE DANCING WEEKEND – Saturday night swing by the Rec Hall and catch the City Slickers and Country Kickers. They have a very relaxed way to teach line dancing and get everyone involved. The house was packed last year so reserve early.

July 23 - 25 CHRISTMAS IN JULY WEEKEND – Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys For Tots and receive a weekend pass for free mini-golf. Santa has scheduled a stop. Enjoy our site decorating contest (prizes awarded) and our “Festival of Lights” hayride. Saturday night our DJ will be here with karaoke and seasonal music.
July 30 - August 1 MID-SUMMER POOL PARTY WEEKEND – Enjoy the middle of summer camping here in Gettysburg. Our DJ will be poolside with some great music along with plenty of fun for the whole family. Later on in the evening come listen to ghost stories around the campfire.

August 6 - 8 ELVIS WEEKEND – MICHAEL HOOVER’S “MEMORIES OF ELVIS” – Michael Hoover’s “Memories Of Elvis” show returns. The Sweetwater Band starts the show, which builds with excitement leading to Michael singing some of the most remembered songs from Elvis’s career.
August 13 - 15 CIVIL WAR ENCAMPMENT WEEKEND – Come experience the history of Gettysburg at our own living history encampment. August 27 - 29 CRAB FEAST WEEKEND – Our 4th annual crab ‘n corn feast. Saturday afternoon enjoy steamed crabs and corn on the cob (must pre-order crabs by the dozen - market $).

September 3 - 6 LABOR DAY WEEKEND (3-Night Minimum) – bingo, hayrides, mini-golf, shuffleboard, horseshoe tournaments, swimming, movies, fishing, dancing, plus much more. On Friday evening our DJ will be here playing some great music and on Sunday night the “Don & Roxy” Comedy Show returns.
September 10 - 12 CAR CRUISE & SOCK HOP WEEKEND – The Roadrunners Car Club of Carroll County returns with their annual classic car show. Go back in time and come see some of your favorite classic or custom cars of days past. Saturday night Don & Roxy will be here putting on a real Sock Hop.

September 17 - 19 FOOTBALL & CHILI COOK-OFF WEEKEND – Decorate your site with your team colors in our site-decorating contest and win prizes. We will have football skill and trivia contests. Saturday afternoon bring your best chili to our chili cook-off tailgate party and meet other football loving campers. We will enter a pot of our spicy chili into the cook-off and provide the drinks to cool you off.

September 24 - 25 PIPPINFEST & A NIGHT AT THE RACES WEEKEND – The annual Fairfield Pippinfest festival starts Saturday with a giant flea market and Sunday is all hand-made crafts. Saturday evening we will host stick horseracing at it’s best at our night at the races.

October 1 - 3 APPLE HARVEST 1 WEEKEND – The annual National Apple Harvest Festival opens this weekend. Saturday evening the CB Pickers are back with some great bluegrass.

October 9 - 10 APPLE HARVEST 2 & COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND – This is the second weekend of the National Apple Harvest Festival as well as the Catoctin Fall Colorfest in Thurmont, MD. Saturday evening come listen to ghost stories around the campfire.

October 15 - 17 HALLOWEEN 1 WEEKEND (2-Night Minimum) – Our 1st spooktastic weekend with crafts, ceramics, pumpkin hunts, adult & children costume contests, trick-or-treating, haunted hayrides, Halloween dance & the MAZE OF DOOM.

October 22 - 24 HALLOWEEN 2 WEEKEND (2-Night Minimum) – Our 2nd spooktastic weekend with crafts, ceramics, pumpkin carving, adult & children costume contests, trick-or-treating, haunted hayrides, Halloween dance & the MAZE OF DOOM.

October 29 - 31 HALLOWEEN 3 WEEKEND (2-Night Minimum) – Our 3rd spooktastic weekend with crafts, ceramics, pumpkin carving, adult & children costume contests, trick-or-treating, haunted hayrides, Halloween dance & the MAZE OF DOOM.

November 18 - 21 REMEMBRANCE DAY WEEKEND – In town there will be a reenactment of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address as well as a parade and an illumination event at the Soldiers National Cemetery.
